MORNING WALKS AND DECEMBER SORROWS
(To Buddy)
Today I get up early.
The fog is heavy.
With lonely steps
I tread the way we used to walk
...together.
The cranes
with their slender legs are there
...still.
And the rabbits too!
The eagle on the tree
unmoving in its watch
let me pass without a care.
The serene Silver Lake
calm and covered by haze
I can hardly see.
But i know it is there
Like love lost
...unexpectedly.
It doesn't go away.
It stays. It goes on
...and on...and on
And lingers...
With my sighs of sorrows
In this cold December morn.
